Up for sale is this nice and complete Barong sword from the early 20 C. 1920 or earlier. Long single edge, leaf shaped blade, 16 inches long. Carved wood handle with brass / Aluminum collar bands. Wood scabbard bound with rattan strips in alternating colors. The top and the tip of the scabbard are set with beautifully engraved Mother of Pearl ( MOP) pieces. Total length 25 ½ inches. Good condition. Minor edge nicks and pitted patches on the blade. Small chipped pieces from the pommel. Two MOP plaques are missing and some of the rattan bindings are loose. Very Low Price.
