Up for sale is this rare version of the Kampilan sword from the Philippines. This version of sword is common to the T’boli group, an old indigenous people living in Cotabato area, south west of Mindanao island. The blade is straight, 19 inches long, widening toward the tip. The handle is cast brass decorated with many small brass bells. Wood scabbard covered with fabric woven from some local fiber, mounted with a heavy brass chain. Total length 29 inches. Very good condition.
