Up for sale is this very big spear, most probably coming from the Ngombe people. Of Zaire. A massive steel blade, 25 inches long ( with the socket), 3 ½ inches wide with a pronounced central rib, mounted on a 43 inches wooden haft covered with bands of spiral copper strips. Spear heel is steel 7 ½ inches long ( with the socket). Total length 67 inches. Very impressive piece, very good condition. One minor edge nick on the blade.
