This is a very early type of a short battle axe from Central India which was used by the aboriginal Indian people from as early as the 16 C and up to the 19 C. The broad, 7 X 5 inches blade is mounted through its socket on a short haft, 13 inches long. Very good condition. Excellent shining age patina on the steel. Minor forging flaw on the blade.
