Seme, The classical sword of the Massai people of East Africa. 22 inches long, well forged blade widening to 1 1/2 inches toward the tip in a spear point shape, and with a strong central rib. Hide covered handle and red dyed hide scabbard with its original leather belt. Total length (in scabbard) 28 inches. This is the real authentic Massai sword, not one of the many traps sold to the tourist visiting Kenya and the neighboring countries. Very good condition. Blackened areas on the blade with very minor pitted spots. Faded colors of the scabbard.
