19C. Good Heavy Naga Sword Dao - 7407

The Naga people of Assam (North-East India) and The Kachin people of Myanmar (Burma) uses this very efficient sword / cleaver. It has a very heavy blade, widening to maximum width at its very top. This one is a classical example. Deadly sharp beveled blade, 22 inches long, 3 inch wide at its tip. Wood handle bound with braided rattan dipped in black lacquer to give an excellent grip and bone mounted pommel plate. Total length 27 ½ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. |
