A very good, and complete 19th century Sudanese Kaskara sword. The Massive blade is 33 ½ inches long and almost two inches wide. It is a locally made blade. The handle is wrapped with embossed silver with a black silk tassel at the top of the grip. The scabbard is tooled leather, partially filled with some white material. It is complete with the original hanging belt. Total length 42 inches. It is n impressive sword in very good condition to any collection of Eat African weaponry / decorative arts.
