We offer here for sale a Barongs sword with heavy leaf shaped blade, known to have superior cutting abilities. It is a good Moro Barong, from early 20 C. with a 19 inches blade, (longer than the usual 14 inches blades). Deadly sharp. The hilt is carved from a beautiful grained wood in a very classical form, with a silver / braided fibers sectors collar. The scabbard is wood bound with two Rattan bands. The head and the tip of the scabbard are beautifully carved with the carving filled with white material, and further decorated with Mother of Pearl pieces. Total length 28 inches. Very good condition. Repair to the corner of the scabbard top. Small wood chip from the pommel tip and few of the MOP pieces are replaced. Altogether a very impressive piece of weaponry.
