Up for sale is this rare and one of a kind steel powder flask, Persia, most probably late 18 or early 19 C. It is shaped in the classical form of the Persian powder flasks made from leather cut from a camel crotch, but in this interesting case it is made entirely from wootz (Damascus) steel with several decorative panels also forged from wootz steel. . Brass seam line and decorative hanging ring made of steel. Very good condition. Minor damage to the decorative steel panels. Minor pitted areas with few rust hole. Old soldered tin repairs.
