Up for sale is this fine Dah short sword / dagger, with a single edge heavy blade 9 ½ inches long. The hilt is beautifully carved ivory of a female standing on shoulders of a monkey (?) within a grid of delicately carved foliage. Silver collar and silver covered scabbard. Total length (In scabbard) 18 inches. Good condition. The ivory grid was cracked and re-glues and unfortunately very small parts are missing. The top of the hilt is also lightly cracked but hold very solid. It looks as if the top is a later added ivory piece (slightly different patina shade) but definitely made for this handle.
