A very good, and complete 19th century Sudanese Kaskara sword. The blade is 27 ˝ inches long, locally made and marked with a styled “moon” marking common to these swords. The handle is wrapped with embossed silver. The scabbard is tooled leather, mounted with a chased silver locket and white metal chape, complete with harness. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Minor pitted spots on the blade.
