Double Blade 18 C. Bichwa (Scorpion) Dagger, India - 7366


This dagger is a Double Blade Bichwa, a rare weapon in the Indian arsenal, meaning: ‘The Scorpion Sting’. It is old, from the 19 Century. The blades are double edged, re-curving, 7 1/2 inches long, with a flat diamond cross section and slightly swollen tips. The hilt is made from brass, ring shaped, riveted to the top of the blades and it comes complete with the original red fabric hand cushion. It has two well made brass elephants connected to it. Total length is 13 inches. Very good condition. Nice brown leather over wood scabbard. Very Unusual and rare hilt.
