Up for sale is this very big spear, most probably coming from the Ngombe people. Of Zaire. A massive steel blade, 22 inches long ( with the socket), 3 ½ inches wide with a pronounced central rib, mounted on a 36 inches wooden haft covered in parts with spiral copper strips. Spear heel is steel 5 ½ inches long ( with the socket). Total length 61 inches. Very impressive piece, in very good condition. One minor edge nick on the blade. Copper strip covers slightly loose in some places. To allow postage, this item will be delivered with the blade removed from the haft.
