Up for sale is this old Kattar dagger, probably early 18 C. , with armor piercing tip and original steel scabbard. The 9 inches blade is riveted to the handle through two reinforcing plates with gold koftgari decoration. Thickened armor piercing tip. Side bars are pierced and also set with gold decoration. Original scabbard, pierced steel decorated with gold koftgari. Wood liners. Good condition to age. Few scattered blackened areas and pitted spots. Gold koftgari worn in parts. The blade will not go all the way into the scabbard due to age shrink of the wood liners.
