We offer for sale this very interesting knife / dagger from India, mid 19 C. Its employ a Khukuri style, down curving 14 ½ inches long blade, forged from good Indian wootz (crystalline) steel. The handle is steel, birds head shape and entirely covered with fine gold koftgari decoration, of which more than 80 % is intact. The leather covered handle is recent. Good condition. Few forging flaws on the blade.
