Rare “Fakir Horns” Dagger India - 7285


The Fakir Horns were usually a non metal weapon and an excellent and lethal substitute, used by Indian Fakirs who were not allowed to use real steel. It is composed of a pair of antelope horns with sharpened tips connected in the middle and, yet in some rare cases like this one, the horn tips are set with steel blades, 3 ˝ inches long each, in brass sockets 4 inches long. Total length 34 inches tip to tip. Very good condition. This is an authentic and rare form of Indian weapon. Probably early 19 C. or earlier
