We offer for sale this mail shirt armor, Indo-Persia, from the late 18 - early 19 C. It is combination of plates and mail armor composed of thousands of separate rings each one interlaced with four other rings and each one individually riveted (see detailed Photo). The shirt is short sleeved, 30 inches wide (tip to tip of sleeves fully stretched) and 21 inches long. It has 10 plates on it lower part all around with three buckles in the front two plates, and four rows of scales on the back upper part. Good condition considering its age. Few ring are missing. The lower rows of mail is also missing. Some of the plates has been pierced by corrosion and repaired (see details below). It is offered here at a very reasonable price (mannequin not included).
