The Naga people of Assam (North-East India) and The Kachin people of Myanmar (Burma) uses this very efficient sword / cleaver. It has a very heavy blade, widening to maximum width at its very top. Open wood scabbard bound with braided rattan bands and strips, including the complete braided rattan carrying belt. Total length 31 inches (in scabbard). Very good condition. Nice age patina on the blade (The lighter colored strips on the blade is the areas where it was under the rattan binding strips). All authentic. No repairs or restorations. |
