We offer for sale this unusual and very good Zaghhal War axe from India.. 5 inches blade laminated steel, with armor piercing thickened tip, pierced and decorated with brass /copper inlaid figures. A small pagoda like structure on the reverse of the blade. The haft is 17 inches long, upper part from steel and lower part from Ivory cylindrical sectors, beautifully decorated with red and black circles in the style common to Northern India and Afghanistan in the late 19 C. Good condition. Minor grinding damage to the blade and minor age cracks in the ivory. Missing part on the top of the Pagoda structure.
