This is a large Pesh-Kabz dagger from India. The blade is 11 ½ inches long with 6 inches false edge. The hilt is a mosaic of Mother of pearl pieces with green stones (jadeite) sectors and pommel and steel bolsters. No scabbard. These type of knives and similar daggers were common in the late 19 and early 20 Century and many of them were meant to supply the demand for collectible Asian decorative arts in the European market. Good condition. There are small pitted areas on the blade. This Dagger is much larger than most similar examples.
