This outstanding lance head from India is forged from very good pattern welded (Damascus) steel. The heavy, thickened armor piercing blade is 9 ½ inches long, 2 ¼ inches wide. Beautiful and elaborate monsters head are chiseled at the blade base. The long steel socket is decorated with spiral lines. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Minor damage to one of the chiseled monsters. The wooden haft is missing, only a small broken part is left inside the socket.
