This is a very fine 18 Century Armor piercing Katar push dagger, forged from very nice Indian crystalline wootz (Damascus) steel. The blade is 6 inches long, multifullered and thickening to 11 mm (almost ½ inch) thick at the tip. The two cross bars provide the holding and the 6 inches side bars protects the fist from a side sword hit. This kattar dagger comes with its original leather covered scabbard with original silver stitched seams. Very good condition. Few very minor pitted spots and a small pierced line in one of the fullers.
